Successful Completion of SixSigma Green Belt Training
Dear Colleagues,
To improve PI's internal competencies and skills in methodology, in 2020, the management team decided to offer a SixSigma training. The SixSigma method conveys the systematical procedure for improving processes using analytical and statistical methods.
With the help of our contacts to Zeiss, we were able to get the experienced SixSigma Master Black Belt Dr. Stephan Back from Carl Zeiss SMT AG in Oberkochen as a trainer. By holding the training course at PI's headquarters, for almost the same costs, we could increase the number of participants from two to twelve. Thank you to Dr. Christian Enkrich for this.
From July 2020 until the end of that year, there were a total of two face-to-face trainings and two online appointments. To successfully complete the training course, the participants worked on a project where they were responsible for everything from planning to implementation, or rather piloting, as well as for the success of the improvement projects they lead.
At the end of May, the final event of the first of the PI Group's Six Sigma Green Belt training took place at the headquarters in Karlsruhe. From the twelve starting participants from the PI premises in Karlsruhe, Eschbach and Lederhose, ten could finish successfully, which is a very good rate according to Dr. Stephan Back.
We would like to congratulate the "graduates" Dr. Daniel Stoffel, Dr. Julia Winter, Frank Gehbauer, Anne Rapp, Thorsten Metzger, Yanick Schlager, Tobias Emerson, Daniel Kopsch, Nicole Bergner and Dr. Gerald Göring on their SixSigma Green Belt qualification! Please contact them if you have any questions regarding the SixSigma-based approach to looking at problems.
You can find more information on the projects and final presentations here (only available in German)
We would like to thank Dr. Christian Enkrich for organizing the course and the event, and wish the SixSigma specialists a great deal of success putting the principals they have learned into practice!
Best regards
