PI at the PIC Conference in Brussels
Dear colleagues,
On June 28 and 29, 2022, we participated at the Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) Conference in Brussels. The conference is one of the world's leading events for the photonics industry. It is primarily attended by C-Level players and provides PI a valuable networking and exchange platform with customers, partners, and insiders from industry and research. By attending, we were able to present our expertise within the Photonics market segment and further increase our visibility in this fast-moving industry.
At our booth, we demonstrated a single-sided F-712 fiber alignment system (F-712.HU1) consisting of an H-811 hexapod and a NanoCube®. Many thanks at this point to Sander Slagter, who was in charge of our booth, and to the entire PI team that contributed to the conference.
I had the opportunity to give a presentation on "Three Essential Themes for Scaling Photonics Production" on the first day of the conference. I talked about how innovation, collaboration, and automation can combine to meet the challenges of the mainstreaming of silicon photonics, and spotlighted PI as the industry’s essential partner as it confronts this immense and exciting scaling task. Our industrial precision motion and fast alignment offerings already dominate target applications like wafer probing and device test, and our new offerings like our FMPA systems powered by ACS will accelerate that trend by meeting market needs as they emerge.
