Integration of Technology Center Piezo Ceramics into Global Research & Platforms as of January 1, 2023

Thanks to targeted research in the existing fields of business, the PI Group expects to be a technological leader. Now, whilst setting up and expanding the global PI research organization Global Research and Platforms (GRP), headed by Dr. Markus Czanta, Chief Technology Officer, it is time to start with the functional integration of the global research departments into GRP.

In this context, as of January 1, 2023, the Central Development of PI Ceramic (Technology Center Piezo Ceramics), headed by Dr. Franz Schubert, Head of Central Development – PIC, has been integrated into GRP and will be responsible for the research of ceramic materials within the department.

The Technology Center Piezo Ceramics focuses on the development of ceramic-based materials for precision positioning as well as for advanced development in the field of piezo technology, hence identifying emerging innovations and new applications. The functional integration of the Technology Center Piezo Ceramics into GRP should increase internal interaction between PI Ceramic’s research activities and the global PI sites and encourage PIC's role as a technology pioneer as well as the long-term competitiveness of PI Ceramic’s portfolio.
