PI Now Sole Owner of ACS Motion Control
Effective March 1, 2023, PI acquired the shares of ACS Motion Control remaining with the company's founder
The founder of ACS Motion Control, Ze’ev Kirshenboim, has decided to sell his remaining 20 percent shares to PI. Roughly six years ago, PI acquired the majority share of ACS. “This decision at the time was based on similar company cultures; the trust built between my father, myself, and Ze’ev; and the mutual understanding that a key factor in the success of ACS is maintaining its independence”, says our Chief Executive Officer, Markus Spanner.
“Ze’ev believed that with PI as a majority shareholder the success story of his baby, which he founded 38 years ago, would continue for the benefits of all stakeholders: its employees and their families, the shareholders, as well as its customers and suppliers.” The concept has worked and the constellation has proven to be very successful.
Since 2017, turnover has increased by around two and a half times – making ACS a shining light within the PI Group.
At a March 7, 2023 Townhall meeting, ACS staff met face-to-face with the PI management and discussed future plans. As a key message to ACS’ staff, Markus Spanner emphasized that ACS Motion Control would retain its independence as a brand as well as a legal entity. The management and operations in Israel will remain unchanged. Dror Marom, Chief Executive Officer of ACS Motion Control, pointed out: “I am looking forward to continuing our close cooperation as a full member of the PI Group. It is a win-win-situation and I see synergies especially in global sales “.
