As of January 2025, Beate van Loo-Born will take on the role of Chief Finance Officer (CFO), joining Markus Spanner, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Florian Geistdörfer, Chief Operating Officer (COO), to complete the Executive Board of the PI Group. In her function as CFO, she will assume responsibility for the Finance & Controlling, Treasury, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Supply Chain Management, Business Architecture, Sustainability, and Human Resources (HR) business areas.
Beate van Loo-Born will contribute more than 20 years of international experience she gained in the financial services and data spaces. She has led cross-functional teams in large corporate groups, such as UBS and the SIX Swiss Exchange, developed and implemented strategic initiatives, as well as taken responsibility for international transformation projects. Furthermore, most recently, she was part of a management team fostering a startup in the realm of climate finance.
Ms. van Loo-Born's qualifications include MA, BA, and EMBA degrees from the University of Cambridge (UK), the Sorbonne (France), and Clark University (USA). Alongside her professional duties, she is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Antwerp (Belgium) conducting research into system theory.
Moreover, as of November 1, 2024, Nils Blank will assume the permanent role of the SVP Finance, which he has held on a temporary basis since mid-year. As Head of Strategic Controlling, Mr. Blank has been a member of Florian Geistdörfer’s team since the beginning of 2023. Joining PI in early 2020, he started out in Controlling and played a substantial role in PI DPG’s strategy implementation.
