Laser World of Photonics China: FMPA Focus and Launch of BIX B-421 & Chinese Air Bearing Platform
At Laser World of Photonics China 2026 last week, PI presented precision solutions tailored to the Chinese market and its relevant sectors: optics, semiconductors, aerospace, and microscopy.
As a high-accuracy and high-throughput solution dedicated to silicon photonics wafer probing, co-packaged optics (CPO), and optical modules, the fast multichannel photonics alignment (FMPA) solutions remain one of the industry’s most relevant topics for China. With this in mind, PI highlighted the following products at this year’s show:
- F-713 high-performance version: featuring 6axis tip/tilt motion, rotation, and fine adjustment
- L-505 + P-611 high-performance version: providing 3axis XYZ motion combined with fine adjustment
- L-836 economy version: also offering 3axis XYZ motion, cost-effective and versatile in use
In addition, a full lineup of vacuum series products was featured in a poster, including hexapods, the S-330 piezo tip/tilt platform, and our PICMA actuators.
PI’s many years of expertise in hexapod technology was highlighted by the H-811, H-815, H-825, H-840, and H-850 models, with additional applications on display such as high-precision image tracking and laser-based hermetic sealing.
At the fair, PI also communicated the following product launches for China:
- B-421 BIX beam shaping and steering system for advanced optical beam control
- A-311 + V-621 air bearing motion platform (made in China), delivering high-precision XYR motion, ideal for wafer inspection, optical measurement, alignment, and calibration
Going forward, PI China will remain focused on local market needs and will continue to deepen its presence in key segments. More products manufactured at PI Changzhou will be showcased at the next exhibition.
