CAQ System Starts Successful Test Run in Eschbach, Germany

Peter Magiera, Team Leader in Suppliers Quality Assurance at PI DPG in Eschbach is enthusiastic:
We have successfully completed the feasibility studies with the new CAQ system from Babtec for the modules _Drawing, _Test_Plan, and _Test) in the Supplier Quality Assurance unit. In the CAQ system, a stamped test drawing is generated in the _Drawing module and then a test plan is automatically generated via the _Test_Plan module.
By using the interface to the CE Creator software from AfM, we can now extract measuring programs from the test plan for the Calypso software from ZEISS and then re-import the measuring results into the module _Test of the CAQ system.
This feasibility study makes me feel positive. The quality of the results and the accuracy is excellent, and the automation of the processes speeds up the incoming goods inspection.
What is the next step?
After this successful feasibility study, we want to standardize our processes and procedures together with our colleagues from the Supplier Quality Assurance unit in Karlsruhe by using these modules. For this purpose, we have to define and test the interfaces to the well-known systems ERP, PDM, and CAQ. We plan to finish the project by the end of Juli 2022.
