Astronomers Reveal First Image of the Black Hole at the Heart of Our Galaxy
Dear Colleagues,
Congratulations to the European Southern Observatory for producing the first image of the black hole at the center of our Milky Way, Sagittarius A.
Following the first image of the black hole at the center of the galaxy M87, 55 million light-years away, this image of a black hole from our galaxy is another proof of performance for the Event Horizon Telescope, a compound of eight radio telescopes - one of which is the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) with its 66 precision antennas.
As always, together we are stronger. I am proud that PI also contributed with its technology, especially with the ALMA-Array.
Find out here how PI's hexapods are contributing to this.
Best regards
