Brighter Future for Laser-Based Material Processing

Dear Colleagues,

I had the chance to write a two part article ‘Brighter future for laser-based material processing’ for Design World, one of the leading publications of the mechanical and electrical engineering design space, focusing on system integrators and machine builders.

This article highlights the importance of synchronizing a motion path with the appropriate laser energy which improves the laser process and optimizes throughput. 

My main conclusion is that EtherCAT based laser control, that can be added when needed, simplifies system design, which in turn helps to control costs and spare part inventory.
