Fully Successful First Career Day with Seventy-Nine Visitors
We were very pleased with the overwhelming results of our first-ever “PI Career Day” in Karlsruhe and Eschbach in July 2023! The exciting new concept of the recruiting event received an overall promising response from both visitors and PI executives. From now on, the event will be held monthly in Karlsruhe and Eschbach.
With sixty guests in Karlsruhe and nineteen guests in Eschbach, we were able to welcome an impressive number of interested parties. The “PI Career Day” was redesigned and organized in close cooperation between the PI DPG, Global Communications, and HR.
The event format provides interested parties with the opportunity to get to know PI better. Dr. Axel Widenhorn, Director Operations - DPG, opened the event and, in his welcoming speech, introduced the company and the DPG. Afterwards, during informative company tours, our executive staff gave the interested parties insights into our working world.
Particularly noteworthy was the “reverse speed dating”: Here, the executive staff joined the guests at the tables provided and held short conversations with them, during which questions could be asked on both sides.
The event ended in a pleasant atmosphere with a cozy get-together and a lively exchange at our food truck.
HR rated the quality of the visitors as extremely positive. Almost 90 % of them are eligible for specific job offers. It is now a question of implementing the application processes quickly and efficiently. Together with the executive staff, the HR team is currently working on it.
At the same time, the team is already preparing the next PI Career Day, which will take place at the end of August.
I would like to thank everyone involved for their excellent teamwork and commitment. This event was an outstanding success and was rated very positively by all visitors. Recruiting is the one important track on which we are now concentrating. However, I would also like to stress that the topic of “employee retention” is equally important to us in the management team. On this topic, we are also actively working to drive it forward.
We are very pleased with the extremely positive feedback we received from our executive staff and the applicants.
