Global Knowledge Exchange: PI Symposium Unites Experts Worldwide
The PI Application Symposium which was held mid-October 2023 at the site in Karlsruhe, Germany, brought together a large number of Field Application Engineers from all over the world, as well as individual PI employees from the Business Development and Product Management divisions in Japan, Southeast Asia, and Israel, as well as from other PI subsidiaries.
The Application Symposium provides a platform for the closer consideration and coordination of various applications in which PI is involved. The subject areas include photonics, semiconductor, and laser processing. Participants worked out potentials for increasing customer satisfaction and experience and also identified innovative approaches for more efficiency.
In addition to numerous presentations from different participants, the agenda included a tour of the Karlsruhe site and a poster presentation in the bistro which was open to all PI employees.
Following the symposium, a working group was established to improve the networking of the Field Application Engineers between the PI sites. The intention is to intensify their continuous exchange of information and repeat the symposium on a regular basis.
The presentation of the individual solutions during the symposium generated important impulses for the development of new standard products, particularly for controllers, firmware, and software, which could be highly valuable for our customers.
