Good Mood Despite Cancellation Due to Bad Weather
Sixteen colleagues from Eschbach were held back at the B2Run company run
They had trained a great deal and were physically prepared for the event: Five female and eleven male colleagues from PI's site in Eschbach had registered for the B2Run company run in Freiburg for the first time. They also joined the starting field on Thursday, June 22, 2023. PI had paid their entry fee and provided running shirts.
With a total of 9,400 runners from 447 companies, more participants than ever before were registered for the 6th B2Run Freiburg.
However, shortly after the starting whistle, a heavy thunderstorm put a spoke in the participants' wheels: While the first two starting wave blocks could still start their 5.2-kilometer run around the Europa-Park Stadium from 7 p.m. onwards, the organizer stopped the event before the PI team started. Sensibly, the health and safety of the participants was a priority.
However, later on, the after-show party for the sports enthusiasts made up for cancellation of the run. Here, the PI team also showed that they were well trained in the discipline of "celebrating". And one thing is already certain: Next year, PI will be back at the B2Run Freiburg!
