Photonics Media's cover article for June's issue of Photonics Spectra, by Michael Eisenstein, focuses on the great challenge confronting the Photonics industry as silicon photonics technology spreads beyond the data center to a host of new applications: it must rapidly scale by three orders of magnitude.
