High School Class From Weida Visits PI Ceramic

April 23, 2023

Today, tomorrow's qualified specialists are still at school! That is why it is so important to get young people enthusiastic about technology and sciences, as well as making them notice us early on!

That is why we were pleased to welcome the 10th high school class from the Georg-Samuel-Dörffel high school in Weida to PI Ceramic in February 2023. Ms. Kern, the pupils’ teacher, and Mr. Kirbach, their principal, accompanied the class as part of a physics excursion.

Daniel Völkel, Head of Industrial Engineering - PIC, started the agenda with a company presentation. Subsequently, Dr. Paula Huth, Central Development, explained the basic principles of the piezo effect and of piezoceramics. Katrin Hahn, Development Engineering, rounded off the agenda with a guided tour and interesting ultrasound experiments. Before lunch, Dr. Daniel Jakobsen, Engineer Technical Sales - PIC, explained the possible applications of our products in the new showroom.

This was a slightly different school day that all participants will surely remember positively!

Many thanks to all involved parties!
