In Search of Fresh Talents
PI once again made use of the exciting format of the recruiting fair “Career Day for Family Businesses”, which was organized this year by the construction company Wolff & Müller in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen at the beginning of July 2023, to present itself as a company to numerous talented graduates and to establish contact with them.
A total of around 600 promising applicants took part, selected from a group of over 1,500 interested parties. The target group includes alumni, young professionals, and professionals from all disciplines, especially engineering and economics.
In addition to PI, another thirty-five global market leaders and “hidden champions” were represented among the exhibitors, including well-known companies such as Kärcher, Breuninger, Würth Group, Lidl, Kaufland, and Mann & Hummel.
PI was represented by Jasmin Schlimmer, Professional HR Talent Acquisition, Sarah Hurst, HR - Administration, Vanessa Ühlin, HR Administration, Dr. Raphael Grifone, Manager Systems Applications Industrial & Engineered Systems - DPG, Philipp Argus, Engineer Development Engineering, and Stefan Schmid, Head of Value Stream Piezo Motors & Systems.
During this event, twenty-seven pre-scheduled individual interviews took place and interesting discussions were held at the stand. After the recruiting fair, HR is conducting further interviews with interesting candidates who applied during the career day.
Another highlight was the networking event and get-together on the eve of the fair, where the PI team had the opportunity to exchange ideas with other exhibitors in a relaxed atmosphere and to establish interesting contacts.
We had consistently interesting conversations with candidates at the stand, which we perceived as lively and inspiring! Remarkable for us was the high interest of students to write a bachelor or master thesis in cooperation with PI.
Family businesses are characterized by their high innovative power. They offer employees many opportunities to make a meaningful contribution. Conveying this perspective to young specialists and managers - the Career Day for Family Businesses offers the ideal platform for this.
We look back with pleasure on the successful "27th Family Business Career Day" and hope that, thanks to the numerous and promising applications, we will soon also be able to welcome new colleagues at PI. The PI stand was very well perceived, and PI was able to leave a strong impression!
