Inspirations for Daily Routines: PI Employees Strike Positive Balance
At the end of September 2023, the PI Health Day was offered to all employees at the German sites in Karlsruhe, Eschbach, and Lederhose—for the first time as a parallel event.
Employees had the opportunity to select from a wide range of offers to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle. These included various exercise classes, health checks, and consultations on a variety of topics, as well as a massage service. This was accompanied by a number of informative presentations. One particular aspect of the Health Day was the combination of face-to-face events and online offerings, which was extremely well received by the employees.
With its wide range of activities, the Health Day had something exciting for everyone. It was possible to delve deeper into familiar topics or to refresh them. I am particularly pleased that yoga has now found a permanent place in PI's regular fitness program. After sitting at a desk all day, the exercises are really relaxing for the body and mind!
Overall, the organization team received a positive response from the employees, with the hands-on activities on site generating more enthusiasm than the theoretical workshops and (online) presentations.
The Health Day provided a great deal of information. I hope to implement many of the ideas from the presentations in the future and really appreciate the fact that PI makes such events possible.
The plan for the upcoming Health Days is to strengthen the commitment of the managers to this and to offer all employees the opportunity to take part in this event. It is also planned to conduct a survey in advance to determine specific interests. Suggestions and ideas for future events are welcome and can be forwarded to the HR department.
It was a really successful event. Well organized, a great mixture of valuable information and hands-on activities. I got some inspiration for my everyday life. It was lots of fun!
