Installation of Tech Demonstrator in Silicon Valley Technology Center
Last year, we already reported on the MagLev Tech roadshows which we held at the sites of our key customers from the market segments: laser materials processing, semiconductor, and test & inspection (see the PICO News from August 5, 2022). In the course of these roadshows, we presented the tech demonstrator to our customers and coordinated their respective roadmaps.
At the start of the year, for the very first time, we had the opportunity to show the tech demonstrator outside of Europe at the US trade fairs Bios and Photonics West. Here, it could be admired by the general public at the PI USA exhibition stand, under the category "new technologies". This also gave us the opportunity to present the technology to many of our major customers, as well as to other interested visitors to the stand.
Following the trade fairs, the tech demonstrator was installed in the PI Silicon Valley Technology Center in Fremont, USA. From now on, there the US colleagues can show it to other interested customers, and discuss feasible application fields with them.
I would like to thank all of the US colleagues who supported us in presenting the tech demonstrator at the trade fairs. Furthermore, special thanks to Alexander Goos, Senior Expert Control Global, who developed the stage, and to the colleagues Jesse Choti, Engineer Field Application, and Mendel Robles, Tech Center Manager, for their support with the installation in the Tech Center.
