Lecture on Digital Business Models in Auditorium

On Thursday June 29, 2023, PI organized an prestigiously staffed event for students from a comprehensive bachelor degree program at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Hochschule Karlsruhe - University of Applied Sciences.
Florian Geistdörfer, our COO, greeted the students together with the guest lecturer Dr. Tom Schneider, Managing Director R+D (CTO) at TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen SE + Co. KG, Bastian Deck, Managing Partner at NOVAZOON GmbH, as well as Prof. Dr. Claas Christian Wuttke from the Hochschule Karlsruhe, Benedikt Braig from Trumpf and assistant lecturer Felix Leitenberger, KIT, and Fabio Pereira, from the Hochschule Karlsruhe.
In the auditorium, Dr. Tom Schneider and Bastian Deck pointed out the opportunities of digital business models in industry to students from the degree programs International Management and Industrial Engineering (HS KA) and Mechanical Engineering (KIT).
Florian Geistdörfer presented the company PI with its markets and technologies. In a tour of the laboratory, Dr. Christian Sander talked to the young engineers about PI's current research and development topics. Marco Vogel gave the group some exciting insights into the Value Stream Hexapods, and Ralf Lösbrock and Jürgen Stippinger presented the Value Streams Piezo Motors and Piezo Systems.
I was delighted by the interest and enthusiasm of all participants for our work at PI. With these kinds of events, we are increasing students' awareness of PI and are able to present the company as an attractive employer. We urgently need additional qualified specialists to once again achieve delivery times in line with the market and be able to grow.
