PI handed over a donation of 1,500 euros to the Sport- und SchwimmClub Karlsruhe e.V. (SSC Karlsruhe), a local sports and swimming club. The amount had been collected as part of the HR action "Doing good with your training", which had been initiated in spring 2023 with the following two aims: To get PI employees fitter and to collect a donation for a charitable cause.
For a deposit of fifty euros each, interested PI employees could have an individual training plan drawn up under the guidance of the fitness trainer Moritz Konrath. Subsequently, the challenge was to train at least eight times between January and May 2023. Anyone able to prove this got their deposit back, and PI, in turn, put seventy euros into the donation box. In this way, with a total of fourteen participants, 970 euros were collected, which PI rounded up to 1,500 euros.
Then, each of the fourteen participants could nominate an organization of their choice, and, from these organizations, the recipient of the donation was determined using a lottery. The lottery ticket belonged to the SSC Karlsruhe, who had been nominated by our employee Tomas Navratil, Engineer Product Development. His children are active in the SSC's swimming department.
Stefan Ratzel, Managing Director of the SSC Karlsruhe, was incredibly pleased about the donation.

The SSC Karlsruhe will use the donation to promote young talent.
