PIC Apprentice and Student Camp 2022

To mark the start of the training year, PI Ceramic's annual apprentice and student camp took place from 25. till 27. August 2022.

This year, 16 apprentices and students, 9 of which are new to the team, and 5 tutors travelled to the Ore mountains (Erzgebirge) to stay in a modern nature hostel in Affalter near Stollberg.

To start with, the group had a guided tour of a visitors' mine where iron, silver and marble used to be mined. After food shopping together, in the evening, the group prepared food and had a barbeque as a team.

The next day, the big, traditional hike took place. Split into three teams, the "PIC adventurers" solved a variety of tasks. Amongst other activities, there were quiz questions, manual tasks and team quests where the apprentices and students' abilities were put to the test.

Following the stresses and strains of the day, the evening ended with a campfire, games and "cold drinks" and ended at 3am! Great fun was had by all!
