In October 2022, PI Southeast Asia (PI SEA) took part in the Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific (ITAP) show held in Singapore. Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Heng Swee Kiat, and Singapore’s Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Mr. Alvin Tan, visited the PI SEA booth and expressed their interest in PI’s solutions and technologies.

Hsin Chia, Country Director, South APAC, gave the ministers an introduction to PI SEA. Operating in Singapore, PI SEA serves as regional headquarters and as a hub for the business PI conducts in India, Taiwan, Australia, and all of South East Asia. He explained PI’s role and its solutions in the greater scheme of things.

For example, how PI enables advanced chip manufacturing and how we supply the world’s most advanced wafer fabrication plants. Additionally, he explained how PI’s solutions enable the manufacturing of cutting edge optical modules for 5G communications, as well as highest bandwidth optical communication systems for datacenters.

Singapore’s ministers were especially impressed by how PI is helping to supply solutions that enable the latest AR (augmented reality) / VR (virtual reality) headsets, as well as EV (electrical vehicles) systems manufacturing, and solutions that created COVID-19 vaccines.
