Successful Market Launch in April 2023
We are incredibly pleased to announce the market launch of our Langevin transducer. The power ultrasonic transducer, which is assembled with piezo rings, can be used in a variety of different applications. For example:
- Ultrasonic welding, drilling, and cutting in the industrial sector
- Ultrasonic cleaning
- Ultrasonic mixing and homogenization in the area of medical technology
- Cell lysis
- Tissue ablation
- Ultrasonic scalpels
- Tartar removal
- Phacoemulsification
In developing the Langevin transducer, we have paved the way for a new product group: ultrasonic transducers. The aim is to enter the market for piezo subsystems and complete solutions. In this way, we are reacting to the fast growth in the medical technology and industrial application markets that will also continue in the future and are hence exploiting PI Ceramic’s potential in a targeted and efficient way.
We would particularly like to thank the colleagues from the transducer group in the Components product division, as well as PI Rosenheim, who made a great contribution to developing the corresponding control electronics.
