Supplier Quality Management Implements Global Sampling Process

Hello everybody,

We have made a further step towards professionalizing quality assurance processes.

Following coordination with the colleagues responsible for quality at all of the global sites, our Supplier Quality Management has created a standard procedure for sampling purchased parts.

The result is the global process description:

• PB 7.4-4 A1 GL Global Initial Sampling Process (German Version);
• PB 7.4-4 R1 GL Global Initial Sampling Process (English Version);

 Which we will be introducing gradually. 

• Making sure suppliers adhere to the requirements consistently and sustainably. This improves product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring a consistent and transparent procedure globally across all PI sites.

• Training courses: In the first step, from a global level we will train the colleagues locally responsible for the process on the newly introduced process description.
• Global implementation / local implementation: The global sampling process is effective immediately. Based on these global requirements, the local sites (PI DPG sites; Lederhose; USA; China) will modify the process description, and gradually implement it at the respective sites.
