This Year's Online Conference Amounts to 32 Key Notes, 42 Poster Exhibitions and 280 Participants
Dear colleagues,
After successfully completing the second virtual International R&D and Production Conference (IRDPC), we would like to thank all of the participants for their interesting key notes, poster presentations, discussions, and open exchange of ideas.
In brief, here are a few facts about the IRDPC 2022:

The online conference took place on two days from 2 till 9 pm (CEST);

Using the conference software 'gather.town', participants could successfully network on an international basis;

A total of 280 employees from Asia, Europe and the USA took part;

32 lectures were held;
-
Three C-Level presentations were held;
-
Intense discussions were held on a grand total of 42 posters;

The subsequent survey on the relevance of the contributions resulted in the following best scores:
- The poster about the sensor update from the Sensor Technology group Dr. Axel Grabowski and Carolin Walenda;
- Both of the posters about developments in the area of interferometers by Dr. Michael Hohmann, Corporate Advanced Research, and Dr. Axel Grabowski, Sensor Technology Development;
- The presentation about the Strategic Controller Architecture Initiative (SCAI) by Alexander Frings, Product Marketing, and Dr. Julien Mintenbeck, Electronic Platform Development, and
- The presentation about U.M.F. by Philipp Wagner, Solis Sanchez, and Miguel Ernesto, all from Electronic Platform Development, and Jens Flegel, Software Development), and Gebhard Ebeling, Test Team.
Due to the large number of participants and the wide range of topics, we are now thinking about how to organize the conference in 2023 as well as possible.
We would like to thank Dr. Christian Enkrich and the whole IRDPC organizational team Gerlinde Sterns, Kathrin Mössinger and Dr. Daniel Stoffel for preparing and holding the event!
