Twenty Years of LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA

March 20, 2025

This year, LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA, Asia’s largest trade fair for the photonics industry, is celebrating its twentieth anniversary—not without PI, of course! Due to the central importance of the Chinese market in the semiconductor and photonics industry, PI has been attending the fair for more than fifteen years now. And today, more than ever, it represents an important milestone in the growth plans of the entire PI Group.

During the show on March 11–13, PI exhibits a variety of highlights at its ninety square meter stand. The new H-811.x2IHP miniature hexapod, designed for photonics applications, attracted great interest, alongside other hexapod solutions. As part of its focus on photonics alignment, PI also emphasized its broad portfolio of solutions for various budgets and requirements: the hexapod-based F-712 system, designed for extremely fast alignment, as well as a dedicated flexible alignment system, and the F-836 system with its excellent price-performance ratio. Additionally, PI’s piezo tip/tilt mirrors and several PI Ceramic products were featured. PI’s Changzhou factory also showcased its latest products, including the five degrees of freedom stacked system, which delivers reliable high-precision multi-axis motion for seamless production integration. Another highlight was the latest high precision XY rotational air bearing solution specifically tailored to the needs of the Chinese market.

Given the intense local competition in China’s photonics and semiconductor industry, the PI Group has strategically adjusted its approach to better serve the Chinese market. With our own development and production facilities on site, we can ideally serve the market with manageable delivery times, increase our market share, and benefit from the market’s trust in the quality of our products.
