You're Invited: Technology Training at PI Ceramic

All piezoceramic components that are used in our global PI locations originate in Lederhose, Germany, at the ceramic components manufacturer of the PI Group. The successful collaboration of design engineers from the product divisions as well as PIC's piezoceramic know-how are the foundation for our sustainable growth with piezoelectrically driven positioning systems. In addition to positioning technology, products from PI Ceramic are sold to our customers via the worldwide PI Sales network. With this, PIC nowadays achieves 75% of its turnover.

At the Lederhose location in Thuringia, by now there are about 400 employees — including over 100 engineers — working in the four product divisions Piezo Components, Piezo Devices, Multilayer, and Product Division Tech Center.

We offer interested colleagues a comprehensive training on the basics of piezo technology, the actuating application properties, and the products and applications from these three product divisions. The training consists of various talks and guided tours through the PIC production facility, which significantly differs from the other PI locations due to the length of the process chain and the ceramics technology.
